I'm a big fan of leopards and pantherines in general...yet i too think it would be pretty difficult and dangerous for a leopard to take on a healthy silverback or a female for that matter, in a non ambush situation..

See you proved my point. When something defeats a cat, people question its reliability. When a cat defeats something, it's assumed the conquered animal is 100% fine and uncompromised. Gorilla would utterly brutalize and destroy a leopard face to face. He's 2-3 times bigger, much stronger, longer reach, better dexterity, smarter, the advantages are endless. How would it not dominate? This is not up for debate. Leopards only prey on females and young. Not healthy alpha gorillas in face to face daylight. Gorillas can barely see anything at night. You dislike apes, VD. Don't be two-faced and just admit it. I admit right now I strongly dislike felines. What exactly is so hard to believe about ape eye-gouging or using sticks as weapons anyway? Going by some of these haters advices, what exactly ARE apes capable of? Merely flailing stupidly like a little girl? No. Just a bunch of ape haters spreading lies and false data. Truly sad and pitiable. Now you know why I called Carnivora an Internet Zombie Apocalypse. Just a mob determined to squelch out all opposition So because I dont think they are good at killing means I hate apes? I never said the condtion of the ape was 100% I said Leopards dont appear to be utterly dominated like you think they would be when actual conflict occurs. Given the fact that a weak and unhealthy silverback would likely be driven out by a competitor its more likely(but not certain) That a silverback is a healthier individual. I never said apes were incapable of fighting with stcks or anything like that so i dont know what your talking about. I also never said a gorilla would loose to a leopard, I dont think i ever gave a difinitive answer on the leopard vs gorilla thread. All your doing is baselessly accusing me of ape-hate. Ps. I love gibbons,

I also don't agree with how readily he is to label people as "haters"...but whatever.

VD, I'm just sick of predators getting hype and praise while apes and humans get the bucket. It gets old very fast. Carnivores aren't what people show on TV. They have weaknesses and many of them. You know what I'm talking about.
Oh and happy birthday BTW

Speaking of which, Crocodiles are one of the few carnivores that aren't as overrated. That's why I give them some support. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcIYdlAxQ9E Yeah and this was a puny caiman. What do you think a bigger crocodilian could do?

Just a mob determined to squelch out all opposition You call him a hater just because he disagrees, and accuse him of "spreading false data". I could make similar claims about your Tyrannosaurus scavenger bullshit(and it is bullshit), but I don't. Actually most gorillas aren't silverbacks. It's never specified in the matches, the leopard could be facing a female. And no more citing predators' success rates and claiming herbivores are simply better fighters. Those hunting situations are not the same as forced fights to the death. Usually when a predator fails, it's not because it lost the fight, but the prey simply escaped.

Dude stop meddling in people's conversations. This is 1 on 1, man to man talk. And I never said it's 100% fact that T-rex was a scavenger. I said we won't know for sure because there's evidence backing both sides. Anomonyous posted evidence it was a hunter. I posted evidence it was a scavenger.
I still find it ironic someone with the username, Tyrannosaurus is saying I'm underrating T-rex.
As I often to say about this whole leopard thing....
A gorilla would pick up that little kitty by the scruff of its neck and slam it into the concrete, breaking every bone in his body.
Hell even humans can kill leopards barehanded.

Lol it's a public thread. I can weigh in whenever I want to. DinoMike and LeopJag have both also replied to your post.
I'm not the only one saying you're underrating T. rex. You posted groundless claims, and we disproved them.
I like Tyrannosaurus, you like gorillas. VD likes monitor lizards. You apparently hate cats.
I think I actually agree with you on the leopard vs gorilla, although I wish you would just make rational arguments and not call people haters.

You're back again? Look man, this feud was between me and VD. You're just a bystander who doesn't know what he's talking about. Yes I do hate felines because their abilities are so exagerrated and hyped up. Ridiculous.
Again, I said my stance on T-rex vs elephant is undecided. I actually changed my mind after reading Anom and Super Commie's articles. I think both animals can win. If you want to talk about that, we'll settle in that thread.
Herbivores DO kill carnivores often. For every lion that brings down a zebra, thousands of others have been utterly demolished by the same kicks. Fighting bulls brutally finished tigers, bears, and lions in the ring.
This is my last post on this thread because I know you'll just spam the hell out of this post. I don't care what you say about me. I'm a grown man. I got my point across. You just raged at my one post intended for VD, tried to bait me. Not gonna happen.

Yes I do hate felines because their abilities are so exagerrated and hyped up. Ridiculous. You can't just disregard my post because I'm "not part of this conversation". Again, I said my stance on T-rex vs elephant is undecided. I actually changed my mind after reading Anom and Super Commie's articles. I think both animals can win. If you want to talk about that, we'll settle in that thread. Well then why don't you settle the leopard vs gorilla argument in that thread?

Damn guys. I'm no mod but keep it friendly around here peeps. And I never said it's 100% fact that T-rex was a scavenger. I said we won't know for sure because there's evidence backing both sides. Actually, considering there is absolute proof that Tyrannosaurus hunted (healed bite marks), we know for sure it was a hunter. Zebras may, on rare occasions, kill lions, but the most common result is that it simply escapes. Actually most gorillas aren't silverbacks. It's never specified in the matches, the leopard could be facing a female. I'm presuming we are using the specimens with the greatest fighting potential, although we take the average size of them. For example, we use the average size of a male elephant, or the average size of, say, a female praying mantis.

Here's a another overrated animal.
Orca: Some People thinks they're as intelligent as Humans. Sure they're intelligent, but they're not that intelligent. Plus there's Orca fanboys who thinks a single Orca can beat anything like a Megalodon.
