I think everyone is ignoring the stuff Deinobrontornis posted on page 1. He gave some pretty solid arguments in favor of the human.

Who said they are bullet proof? Bear Grylls is absolutely 100% staged. Reptiles don't experience pain to the same degree as mammals. As far as cramming your hand down a caimans throat, be my guest, I suceed from this fight and admit my defeat at the jaws of a more formidable predator. i don't think bear grylls is staged. and yes, humans have escaped by thrusting their leg/arm down a crocodile's throat and opening the palatal flap. it's not common but it has happened.

Weapons, co-operation, set-up time, and ingenuity make humans more or less impossible to deal with for animals. Sometimes one animal will kill or maim one human, but for the most part humans can deal with pretty much whatever they come across, given time and more than one person.
One-on-one, a human vs a caiman? Make it bare-handed and the human has very little in the way of "finishing moves" to kill a croc with. Give the man a weapon, just about ANY weapon, and the human will win. Even if it's just a simple spear, the additional reach can wreak havoc on a caiman.
