What do you guys think of it?
If you ask me, it sounds like a good alternative to farms and slaughterhouses, so long as an effective and resource-efficient method of growing a (nutritious) hunk of flesh from a couple of cells could be devised. This would cause ranchers to go out of business though...

People probably wouldnt want to buy chemically made meat. I find their type to be overly old-fashioned. Lab-grown meat could be cheap, nutritious, relatively easy to produce, and to top it all off, it saves animal lives.

One has to wonder what will happen to all those domestic animals though?

I imagine They would continue to butcher and kill them but would just not breed or buy anymore, and of course there would be people who want "organic/natural meat" so there would still be a market for it.

Where else but in Japan... not to take a jab at the Japanese.. i'd take the actual grown stuff over a piece of "meat" made from excrement anyday.. an ecological solution but no thanks! hell if i had to pick and chose between lab grown flesh and that which came from animal killed for it,, of course i would go for the lab stuff everytime.
