In some ways, a tiger could actually be a harder opponent for the crocodile than a polar bear because the big cat is more agile, experienced, and has stronger jaws.
A polar bear has never seen a saltwater crocodile and won't know that it's supposed to overturn it to expose its underbelly.

I'm serious.
How would a polar bear, slower and less experienced than a tiger as well has having weaker jaws, perform better against a crocodile?

Land: polar bear.
Any water depth where the crocodile can effectively swim: crocodile...end of story.
