Is there a Cougar vs Leopard thread on this forum? I would rather comment on fights with less obvious outcomes.

I think the jag would win due to raw power

Male leopard vs jaguaress could be pretty close. and the leopard in my sig i think could beat a male jag at parity..

Duh Jaguar wins. It's much larger, stronger, heavier, and has a far greater bite force. Therefore it always wins.
Seriously, leopards are up there with lions and tigers as one of the most overrated big cats.

^ Usually not all that much larger. Jaguars would usually beat any modern big cat at parity. It doesn't make leopards weak.

The larger, stronger-jawed, and more robust jaguar is going to dominate this fight.

LOL Im not just referring to it like this in just this match. This is my view about bite force in general. I am no leopard fanboy. jaguars are usually more impressive i have never denied this. All i have said is that some tom leopards can reach similar builds and i think this fight is more interesting if we use parity individuals that are the best that each cat has to offer in terms of build. Parity is kind of a pointless thing to have in my mind since it forces 1 animal to give up an advantage (in this case the jaguar's weight advantage) I mean a hippo could kill an apatosaurus if they were the same size.

Thats a retarded comparison. These two animals having naturally overlapping weight ranges a hippo and apatosaurus do not.

This is a mismatch, it's like pitting a leopard in, with a larger and more muscular one.
