The Amur leopard - although is in a much more critical state than its larger cousin....the amur tiger gets a lot more attention because it is the bigger, more powerful and more charismatic animal.. thanx in part to the general lack of interest compared to the tiger of the same region,, its seems extinction is eminent for the leopard of the far east... European wildlife in general is quite underappreciated too compared to those of Africa, Asia, Australia, South and even North America....since not only is its megafauna generally less charismatic to humans it is also more familiar, less exotic to much of western society,, and not as diverse as those of the other continents... you don't see too many wildlife documentaries on European animals.. if i missed some feel free to add to the discussion...

amphibians. The whole class is declining globally and still people are more worried about friggin pandas.

Fresh water fish don't get the attention or concern they deserve. Invertebrates are also ignored to often.
