A majority of folks there believe that ankylosaurus would lose to an elephant. And the people who think otherwise aren't any better. Some dude said ankylosaurus wins, "he" killed tarbosaurus. Did tarbosaurus and ankylosaurus even coexist?!

Did tarbosaurus and ankylosaurus even coexist?! Half the intelligent people left because of a certain individual. (Or were banished by him), so all he's got left are his little feline minions. But no Tarbosaurus and Ankylosaurus never coexisted, however other ankylosaurs were present at the time, and were thought to have been prey for Tarbosaurus. It is speculated that Tyrannosaurids, and Ankylosaurids coevolved, each one adapting to try to become better than their opponent. Eventually you have Tyrannosaurus, and Ankylosaurus at the end of the cretaceous, at their perfect evolutionary forms.

Quite a few people are completely misguided and believe komodo dragons hunt like venomous snakes. No matter how much I tell people this isn't true, it just doesn't follow. These "poison" (is he poison11918 or whatever?) and animal118 guys are especially annoying. Monitor haters...ugh. Taipan is still being a mammal fanboy, as always. He's saying honey badgers are underrated. And then there's this dude who thinks honey badgers can kill all snakes, anacondas included. I'd like to throw one of their precious honey badgers & wolverines into a match with a pissed off elephant! (well...wouldn't actually want to see that, don't take it seriously)

(well...wouldn't actually want to see that, don't take it seriously) I found a record a while back of a honey badger being killed by a large viper during a predation attempt. I'll see if I can find it, they might want to see that.

About the only ones i've seen contributing meaningful mature discussion there are Gato Gordo, Reddhole, Vita, Lycaon, Canidae, and a few others...

Everytime I go on this site and look at a monitor thread I facepalm. The most recent one was a guy who called the perentie an overgrown gecko. If any who post on that site see this go do some research There are some 1500 species of lizards (yes that includes all of varanidae) considered to be venomous go google it if you have to.

Tapain and I disagree on alot of things... It's such a pity he hates me so much, I'd like to get back on that site and have a go at some of those people. Of course the high and mighty Taipan would never allow me back on his precious forum. A honey badger killing a Staffordshire bullterrier? Preposterous...

I felt dinosaurs were unfairly bashed on the board. Sure, I voted against dinosaurs a couple of times myself, but dinosaurs weren't gods after all. T rex caught the most flak, there were a few members in particular who seemed to think that Rexy had no fighting potential whatsoever. Sure it's overrated, but it IS one of the largest carnivores in history.
Dromeosaurs on the other hand were seen as completely unstoppable. Most of the critics of T rex blame Jurassic Park for the hype, but the raptors were depicted much worse than T rex. No one cared when you supported Deinonychus for no reason, but if you like T rex then you were decried as a whining fanboy.
On a side note, most people's poltical views were way too Politically Correct for my tastes.
