I'd go with Spino based on what Deinobrontornis provided. Spinosaurus matches are some of the worst, most difficult to do because there are so many unknowns.

To agree with Jumbo here, there are just too many unknowns. I don't think much can be said for this argument when no one knows much about Spino's size, arm length, killing method, prey, locomotion, speed, even wether or not it's BIPEDAL. Almost all evidence of its existence was destroyed, and everything we have now is fragments.

Wait, this is for people that are banned from Carnivora? Crimson Dragon directed me here, and he's a member there. Anyways, Tyrannosaurus would win because: 1. Speed 2. Better weaponry 3. Binocular vision (and likely, faster reflexes) 4. Intelligence (though this might not matter too much) Spinosaurus has: 1. Height 2. Claws (that it can't use without rearing up) I don't think that's very relevant. It's not as if Spino won't be able to see the rex. I think this isn't an easy fight for T-rex or for Spinosaurus. The spinosaurus has the weight/height advantage. Meaning it can easily knock down and trample the smaller t-rex. It's also got a formidable bite of its own in order to pull large armored fish out of the water. The t-rex is faster than spinosaurus and has a stronger bite force.

actually i changed my mind. i favor spinosaurus. It's twice the t-rex's weight and t-rex isn't built to handle much larger opponents

spino, it is too big to handle for the tyrannosaurus, and there is a case of a false ghavial eating a man so spino Yeah I know. I mean, how in hell is a 12-20 ton spinosaurus going to lose to something less than half its weight. He's big enough to simply grab t-rex and haul the smaller animal around before dropping it and letting gravity finish the job

i disagree. spinosaurus was actually much larger and taller than t-rex

spinosaurus weighed between 12-23 tons. That's easily more than twice the weight of t-rex. Spinosaurus simply has to push t-rex and knock it over.

I find those higher weight ranges a bit extreme, your going by the highest figures ever purposed from this animal, which have been disputed by several researchers since they were presented. More conservative estimates average around 14t.

that is still 5 tons heavier than the highest weight estimate for t-rex (9 tons).
Weight absolutely matters in fights between multi-ton animals.

so does bite force, jaw and tooth design, temper and many other factors

spinosaurus had conical teeth for gripping if I recall. And it hunted large armored fish. Besides that it has a longer skull giving it greater reach and letting it bite t-rex first.

Spino isn't 20 tons, its just 8 tons and T-rex is 7,7 tons. I will give this to T-rex, one bite to the neck and spino is dead.
