What?
The skeletals in the scale look perfectly OK to me. They're made by Scott Hartman who is known for making dinosaur skeletals. Diplodocus is 'only' around 11 tonnes. I can at least say Sue would be able to pull it off 55-60% of the time (not sure of CM 9380).

Well if diplodocus was much heavier than t.rex than the theropod should lose because its teeth aren't equipped to killing this type of animal. That is true, but in the event that the theropod manages to bite the saruopod's neck, I see plenty of vertebral damage taking place. Tyrannosaurus would likely have no problem causing any sort of spinal damage to a smaller sauropod. But if this was an animal like apatosaurus or brachiosaurus, tyrannosaurus would have plenty of issues regarding morphological adaptations for hunting such animals, which it lacked.

I don't think any individual land predator could take a brachiosaurus or apatosaurus.

How is diplodocus much heavier? 12-15 tons for the sauropod compared to 6-7 tons for the theropod. I would like to state the fact that the sauropod's tail was probably less effective against animals like tyrannosaurus. Diplodocus evolved alongside allosaurids (like allosaurus, saurophoganax, and epanterias), not tyrannosaurids. Allosaurids were considerably more gracile in build than tyrannosaurids (even more lightly-built tyrannosaurids such as Albertosaurus and gorgosaurus) and a tail whip would probably be much more effective against them than the latter group of theropods. But that being said, allosaurids were much more well-adapted for killing sauropods while tyrannosaurids were more skilled at predating on animals like large ceratopsians and ankylosaurs. Plus, a few simple bites from the theropod could easily damage some of its opponent's neck vertebrae.

The Tyrannosaurus was more powerful than Diplodocus but it could not kill the Ankylosaurus and stegosaurus because the Ankylosaurus had armor platings and a bony club at the end of the tale that could shatter a bone or kill the predator and the stegosaurus had spikes at the end of the tale that could kill the predator and platings on the back to reflect the sun.
plus, if the tyrannosaurus rex got near the underbelly of ankylosaurus (which would probably never happen) it could get a bite out of it.

SHORT ANSWER: Diplodocus carnegii is too strong for Tyrannosaurus rex,Diplodocus longus is overkill.
More Scientific form: Diplodocus had a spiked tail, size, height,STRENGTH(No,T.rex is NOT stronger than a animal heavier than it.Laws of physics would be broken.),and intimidation. All T.rex has is just Bite Force,THAT IS IT.Bite force limits the gape so the bite force would be the wrong tool. I do not Underrate T.rex BTW.

Tyrannosaurus could actually be as much as 8 tonnes, and diplodocus was only like 10-11 tonnes. That's not really such a massive difference. Besides sauropods need a large size advantage to even out against theropods. Bull Crap!Sauropods DO NOT NEED A SIZE ADVANTAGE TO BE EVEN AGAINST THEROPODS! Diplodocus is underrated in this thread.See my last post for my reasoning on why Diplodocus wins 80(Diplodocus carnegii)-20(T.rex) or 95(D.longus)-5(T.rex).
