Not to be rude, but we'll settle the speed debate in the "Hunter or Scavenger" thread. And I do agree with you a T-rex would beat Gigan in a fight.
I still think t-rex is overrated by some. There's a thread on CF on T-rex vs Songhua river mammoth. I don't know how some people could've backed t-rex in that one.

I agree that the mammoth would've won there, but as SC said T. rex really has an equal number of fanboys, haters, and people who don't give a damn so it evens out.

It's nowhere near as overrated as the tiger. The most overrated feline hands down. I think it's more overrated than the lion.
Tiger fans think their animal weighs 800-900 LBS and can kill bull elephants.

It also happens that wolverines and honey badgers are among the most hated and underrated animal on some forums. Namely CF.
But most evidence out there says the complete opposite.
Numerous video evidence of wolverines chasing and defeating wolves and sometimes bears in fights.
There's documented evidence of wolverines killing elk, reindeer, and even bull moose. On the Yuku forums, Scottwolverine and WolverineClaws posted numerous evidence of this.
On National Geographic's Caught in the Act, a honey badger fought a python much bigger than itself. It was the aggressor and eventually tore the python to shreds.
What's that a sign of?

Hated & underrated? Not that much...it only goes because they're trying to fix up the idiots who believe they are the equivalent of a 40 pound 50 mph tyrannosaurus. A lot of the documents where those mustelids are portrayed as such are in fact circumstantial - for example, a lot of those deer were trapped in thick snow when they were attacked, and thus couldn't fight back at all. It's like being trapped in quicksand while being attacked by a European lynx. Yeah you can move (slowly), but your ability to fight is severely impaired, and thus an animal you might have normally defeated has a good chance to get the jump on you. As far as chasing off other predators go, it's no big surprise. You can make a cautious adversary flee through sheer recklessness and aggression. There aren't many large predators a human can't scare off. For those reptiles, such "evidence" may be unreliable. For one, as cold blooded creatures they are dependent on heat to strike, react, and move quickly, for even a black mamba will be slowed to a slug in the cold of night. It's also pretty common knowledge that snakes take a while to digest their food, and while at it, they are comparatively vulnerable. Snakes in general are not very aggressive, anyhow. The ones that stand to stop and fight tend to get killed more, and in venomous snakes this will lead to venom depletion.

Humans are the epitome of underrated. It doesn't take a decent IQ to realize that we humans are the most powerful, dominant, intelligent, violent, competitive, fearless, and cunning animals on the planet.

Perhaps, but if you make people live without technology they are basically more advanced apes, albeit with less physical strength.

A cheetah is about three times larger than a wolverine so I do not see how you can favor it.

Perhaps, but if make people live without technology they are basically more advanced apes, albeit with less physical strength. Mental Toughness. No other animal matches our ability to retain our nerves and operate efficiently in life and death situations. These people aren't the exception. They are often your every day men and women. Even elders and children at times.

No animal is more overrated than the lion. They're just so cowardly and weak-hearted.
There are 2 videos of buffalos attacking lion cubs. In both of them, lions abandon their cubs and let the buffalo kill them.
Despicable.
Richard the Lionheart?
If only he knew what kind of animal he was being associated with, I think he'd do himself in of shame.

And i think that matchups involving land mammals vs birds of prey are pretty dumb too....like German shepherd vs golden eagle. same with land animals vs aquatic ones..
