I find it amazing that an animal that in its wild state looks like this: Can be bred to look like this There are several names that sprung up in domestic breeding of these animals. The one that i find the most interesting is the translucents There eyes are solid black and there scales are translucent allowing for the colour of the skin underneath to be shown. Leather and silk backs have been bred to have less spiky scales. The silk back looks like an amphibian! Leather back Silk back Lhe linguistics usually are white with some yellow mostly around the face. they are said to change colour with exposure to sunlight and there nails are clear There are many many others. This is a site of people who breed a large varity of colour morphs in all sorts of spectacular colours and shades www.bloodbankdragons.com/I have only seen such variety in domestic reptiles in snakes.

It is said (and i have never heard of it happening) that albino bearded dragons never reach adult hood and are near impossible to breed for in captivity. Some think its because of there sensitive skin. I dont think so because other lizards have similar albino forms and do just fine. Another theroy is that they are very geneticly unstable.

it almost looks like it was photoshopped. But cool nonetheless.

The silk back is cool, but its also probably a genetic abomination that wouldnt survive in the wild.
Also, this might be off-topic but are there any really purple lizards or snakes? I dont think I ever seen a real purple reptile, only photoshop of course.

You mean in its wild form? because the first morph I posted was purple and no its not photoahopped it was bred by blood bank dragons.

Oh didnt really notice the first pic, but the dragon still looks more grayish and pink then true purple. The only lizard that comes close to deep purple is the agama, but its only an illusion due to red and blue right next to each other. I find it odd, because there are so many green and even blue lizards around.

That dragon is as close as ive seen to an actual purple lizard. Its strange as blue and red are fairly common.

Scaleless one reminds me of an amphibian kinda. in its natural state those spines look pretty sharp.
