The giant panda has a black-and-white coat. Adults measure around 1.2 to 1.8 meters (4 to 6 ft) long, including a tail of about 13 cm (5.1 in), and 60 to 90 centimeters (1 ft 10 in to 2 ft 10 in) tall at the shoulder. Males can weigh up to 160 kilograms (350 lb). Females (generally 10–20% smaller than males) can weigh as little as 75 kg (170 lb) but can also weigh up to 125 kilograms (280 lb). Average adult weight is 100 to 115 kilograms (220 to 250 lb). vs The jaguar is a compact and well-muscled animal. There are significant variations in size and weight: weights are normally in the range of 56–96 kilograms (124–211 lb). Larger males have been recorded at as much as 160 kg (350 lb) (roughly matching a tigress or lioness), and the smallest females have low weights of 36 kg (79 lb). Females are typically 10–20% smaller than males. The length of the cat varies from 1.2 to 1.95 m (3.9 to 6.4 ft), and its tail may add a further 45 to 75 cm (18 to 30 in). It stands about 63 to 76 cm (25 to 30 in) tall at the shoulders. Like the slightly smaller Old World leopard, this cat is relatively short and stocky in build.

i don't like big cats but i won't deny the jag's superiority here. It's faster, more aggressive, better armed than the relatively docile bear.

Jaguar over this bear any day all day. Bears aren't particularly active, territorially aggressive, or competitive animals whereas jaguars are. A fact a lot of bear fans often struggle with I do feel their pain because I used to favor bears over felines too in my younger days. Besides the jaguar's bite is almost if not just as strong as that of a panda and its got sharper claws (retracted) whereas bear claws are often blunted from digging and what not. Off topic: I keep thinking Jack Black (Kung fu panda) is a 14 year old kid.

a cougar or leopard vs a panda can go either way. Some advantage to the former(s).
A jaguar though is too much for this bear to handle. Much faster, more territorial aggression, competitive drive, sharper claws. Would run circles around the bear and get it at will. No contest.
