One of the largest sharks living today, the tiger shark commonly attains a length of 3 to 4.2 m (9.8 to 13.8 ft) and weighs around 385–635 kilograms (849–1,400 lb).[6] Sometimes a male tiger shark can grow up to 4.5 meters (14-15 feet long) and females to 5.5 meters (18 feet long). A tiger shark can sometimes rival a great white shark in size.[4] The tiger shark can grow up to 14-20 feet long. VS Males reach maturity at 3.5–4.0 metres (11–13 ft) and females at 4.5–5.0 m (15–16 ft). Adults on average are 4–5.2 m (13–17.1 ft) long and have a mass of 680–1,100 kilograms (1,500–2,400 lb). Females are generally larger than males. It is widely accepted that the great white shark can reach 6.1 m (20 ft) in length and 1,900 kg (4,200 lb) in weight.[3] The maximum size is subject to debate because some reports are rough estimations or speculations performed under questionable circumstances.

I do think that GWS can beat a Tiger shark due to its agility for its size. Predation acts of Tiger Sharks do not impressed me that much.

^ Agreed. Plus GWS's are pound for pound stronger. So even at parity, I think the Great White would win this one.

Ya. I've seen that video too a long time ago. It was awesome. But I don't really think it showed what was happening very well. They were just next to eachother eating a dead whale.

The Tiger might have been larger than the White Shark. Tiger Sharks are also very aggressive. Possibly even more aggressive than Great Whites.

Well the white shark in the video I am remembering was shreding the meat in to long strips and not getting near as much meat as the tiger who was biting off large chunks with its trashing head. Man! I wish I could locate that video. All the ones on Youtube are just snap shot comparisons.

I dont think a tiger shark could beat a great white regularly at least in open waters. The great white is quicker, bulkier, and has a wider gape and deadlier teeth in this situation. But as the water gets shallower the tiger sharks chances increase. Overall great white, 7-8/10.
